Amanda Field was born in Los Angeles and lives in Brooklyn. Her documentary project, Lockdown Drill, appeared online at Mother Jones and gathered 200K+ views, including re-tweets from Senator Elizabeth Warren (MA), Senator Chris Murphy (CT), and Shannon Watts of Moms Demand Action. Her work has appeared in various group exhibitions and publications, including an anthology of poems As If It Fell From the Sun.  She was managing editor of ZYZZYVA and poetry editor of Chicago Quarterly Review. She has taught at Parsons School of Design, California College of the Arts, San Jose State University, University of San Francisco, Chabot College, and Brandeis University.
